Self Promotion.. time is ticking!
I’ve not really explained on here what I’m doing for my Self Promotion.. Since I manage my time quite well (at times) + I’m a great fan of time pieces.. I’ve decided to base it all around time and clocks.
What do we look at a few times a day? Clocks. What do we base our lives around? Time.  What do we all like? Something Free.
It’s a fact the creative industry rarely get given a good amount of time to bring results to there clients, so it sounds a good pitch to me that I can work fast and efficiently. My idea is to send out a clock designed by myself in a nicely printed boxed with a short piece of cheeky text, for example “The time is ticking to grab this new creative”.
Now i’m eager to use laser cutting to finish these clocks to a very high standard however it comes at cost.. but this is a hurdle I need to cross. If I can learn to use a laser cutter safely and efficiently eventually I can work without assistance which will lower prices in future. The plastics and other materials aren’t an issue as I know of various sources to get recycled plastics/offcuts for the price of a few beers. The only limitation with this is the colours, but often you can be surprised the beautiful experiments/mistakes when your limited with materials.
Any thoughts/oppions are appreciated!

‘No’..
an answer our groups been familiar with when contacting the industry. The saying..” it’s not what you know, it’s who you know?” Seems to be a suitable phrase for the industry from observational research. Anyway heres a sneaky cropped snapshot of some playful type I created to demonstrate the observation, this will hopefully be used as a creative twist on our group report.

Not Now / ‘We Let You Down’ / An Exhibition

Each member of the Not Now collective were given a disposable camera and 24 hours to document their time. From here, a publication was produced holding the disposable findings of each member. This publication will be readily available, free of charge, across Manchester from the 16th of April.

Not Now each then created graphic responses to the images produced. From the camera, to the photographic print, to the exhibiting wall space, ‘We Let You Down’ is a visual journey through the beauty and decay of the city of Manchester.

A few of us went down to the beautiful basement of Cord bar, NQ Manchester where Not Now held a neat little exhibition.

The whole environment was relaxed and the surroundings brought through this natural decayed beauty. I love how the pieces of work hung on these grungy tiled walls, it displayed a great contrast of beauty and decay. Great time spent there.

Heres a couple of phone snippets to share..
